Postpartum Doula Cost in Oklahoma
Postpartum doula cost depends on the doula, the hours and the package, and there is no single price. We cannot give you an average we can stand behind, so this page shows two published examples and the questions that help you compare.

Example one: a provider's published starting rates
One Oklahoma City provider publishes starting rates of $25 per hour for daytime postpartum care and $32 per hour for nighttime care, depending on the contract chosen. It says it can customize a package.
This is a single provider's starting price. It is not an average, and other doulas charge different amounts.
Example two: a directory page
A directory page listing birth doulas in Oklahoma shows postpartum rates for four of six listings: $80 to $120, $30 to $35, $30 to $40 and $30 to $65. Two listings show no postpartum rate.
The page gives no unit, so we cannot tell whether those amounts are hourly, daily or per package. Treat it as a reminder that ranges are wide, not as a quote.
Why prices differ
- Hours: daytime, overnight and weekend hours are often priced differently
- Package length: a few visits cost less than weeks of regular care
- Experience and training: doulas set their rates based on their own background
- Extras: multiples, postpartum meal prep or travel can change a quote
- Contract terms: deposits and cancellation rules differ
Questions to ask before you book
- What is the rate, and is it hourly, per visit or per package?
- What is included, and what costs extra?
- Is there a deposit, and is it refundable?
- What happens if the baby comes early or late?
- Can I add or drop hours once we start?
Ask for the answers in writing, and keep a copy.
When SoonerCare may cover doula services
Oklahoma's SoonerCare program covers doula services for eligible members who are pregnant or within the postpartum period, within limits. If you qualify, you may not need to pay out of pocket for covered visits. Read the SoonerCare doula page for the rules.
Planning around a budget
A smaller package, such as a few daytime visits, can still help. Say plainly what you can spend when you talk with a doula, since many will propose options that fit.
Getting matched
Use the estimate page to say how many days or nights you want. A doula who contacts you can then respond with a quote based on your needs.
